A F A 2009 ^{Day I

The phone was ringing, loudly.
I cracked one eye open and reached for it.
Thank you for the morning wake up call.
Darn, 9.00am.

Get up now. Shower now.
And i did.

I stared at the costume which i laid out the night before, it sparkled.
And, the luggage filled with cookies that Puppy Wong baked.
A smile broke out across my face and i sat down onto the bed, basking in the morning light as i applied my makeup.

It felt all so good.

We made it to Suntec in a cab and yes in my costume.
I got a hack of stares for it as well /LOL

I swear humans are related to owls in some sick way, you can't believe how much one can rotate his head until you see it eye to eye. My word, scary.

After some little hiccups, everyone was ready (:
And into the fray we went.

Aside from the crazy crowds, the atmosphere was electric!
The array of magnificent costumes, the air was simply bursting with energy!
It was my first AFA and i took time in ogling at the lovely art pieces on show after we got our stamps, went through the gate and NESTED at the Bandai Booth.

And surprisingly, the ticketing counters for the cosplay entry was state empty.
Much to my delight, of course
who was did 'Justice' as my partner in crime was an awesome spot too. Tt really was such fun acting out the action scenes and being simply murderously crazy for tantalizing.

Timeskip to Dinner!


Brought us to a new haunt for dinner! I can't remember the crazy name but's an awesome Japanese/Italian very affordable yet good taste restaurant down at Central Clark Quay.

I think the boy has like a shot of adrenalin every time before an event or a shoot

In all, AFA was a blast.
It created many wonderful memories for me and after the whole day.

The sense of completion and satisfaction will exhilarating.
The costume is definitely one of the most epic, in my cosplaying sense i have ever pulled together.

I am not as talented as all my friends who can sew.
Nor am i any epic prop maker.

I'm better at modding things and i have an eye for finding things.
Hence I needed help from my awesome Tailor of whom was a wonderful reccomendation from Shizuka, for this mindblowing costume.

Even so, the whole process was something that will make me smile.
Of all the times we laughed at the ridculious size of her boobage, her silly floating obi, details that don't make sense, 9 inch short skirt & over shiny boots that shine like metal.
In the end, it worked out.
My drafts for the costume, the patterns, the skull, the wazasaki, the wig, all the other tiny details that made it whole, it all did!
Everything did.

It was, Perfect.
